Since the times of independence, India has fast-paced in the health sector. However, a very surprising data from National Family Health Survey indicates that access to healthcare is still a challenge to different populations in India. Whereas the health status of rural India continues to be poor, the health status and access to healthcare facilities for the poor in urban slums have come out to be equally disreputable.
